Ballard & First Mode sign order for 30 additional hydrogen fuel cells for ultra-class mining trucks; 3MW

The 30 Ballard hydrogen fuel cell modules will be integrated into clean energy powerplants built in Seattle, Washington and installed into ultra-class haul trucks to be operated at First Mode’s Proving Grounds in Centralia, Washington. This is the equivalent of approximately 4,000 horsepower.

Port of Seattle partners with Alaska Airlines and Boeing to supply sustainable aviation biofuel at Sea-Tac Airport

The Port of Seattle, Alaska Airlines and Boeing are partnering to move toward powering all flights by all airlines at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport with sustainable aviation biofuel. An RFP for the infrastructure study will be issued in the spring of 2016, and the study is expected to be completed by late 2016.
