Researchers use melamine to create effective, low-cost carbon capture; potential tailpipe application

Green Car Congress

Using an inexpensive polymer called melamine, researchers from UC Berkeley, Texas A&M and Stanford have created a cheap, easy and energy-efficient way to capture carbon dioxide from smokestacks. We distinguished ammonium carbamate pairs and a mix of ammonium carbamate and carbamic acid during carbon dioxide chemisorption.

What we don’t admit about carbon dioxide

Electric Auto Association

Range has improved dramatically, prices have dropped, and often performance is even better than with ICE vehicles. But before consumers assign appropriate value to low carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, they must make an accurate judgment about the malevolence of this well-known gas.
