India’s state-run Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) said that oil output from the Sakhalin-1 project in Russia has returned to a plateau level of 190,000 - 200,000 barrels per day (bpd) from zero. Sakhalin-1 produced an average of 227,000 bpd in 2021. Following the onset of sanctions against Russia due to the war in Ukraine, Russia seized the Sakahlin-1 asset and ExxonMobil, the operator, exited Russia.

Franchise dealerships anticipate spending $5.5 billion on new infrastructure to sell EVs, according to the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA), a car dealer trade group. The estimate is "based on available data from a selection of brands," according to an NADA press release. Some automakers have asked dealerships to invest in chargers.

H2X Global has been awarded a contract valued at up to 240 million Swedish Kronor ($US22.9 million) to supply hydrogen fuel-cell trucks for the city of Gothenburg, Sweden. Upon completion, this contract will establish the largest fleet of its kind in Sweden. The award, received by H2X Global’s subsidiary H2X Gothenburg AB, comes from a second public tender released in December 2022.

Aehra unveiled its first model, an SUV, last October, plans to unveil a sedan in June, and aims to start deliveries of both in 2025 in markets potentially including North America, Europe, China, and the Middle.

Antwerp Terminal Services (ATS), a joint venture between MSC PSA Europe Terminal (MPET) and PSA Antwerp (PSAA), recently launched the first hydrogen dual-fuel straddle carrier in the Port of Antwerp. Using H 2 dual fuel combustion engine technology developed by cleantech company CMB.TECH and integrated into a straddle carrier with the support of ATS, the machine runs on a mix of hydrogen and diesel.

Tesla is set to open a flagship store in Bangkok, Thailand, as early as June. The five-floor facility, which includes a showroom, a service center, a parts warehouse, and fast-charging stations, will be located in a mall in eastern Bangkok. The site previously hosted a showroom for Toyota, as per local reports. Kenichi Shimomura, principal at Roland Berger, noted that Thailand could be a test of sorts for Tesla as the company attempts to break into the Southeast Asian automotive market. “

The Lordstown Endurance all-electric pickup truck’s range estimate from the EPA has been released, and it is surprisingly low. Despite the vehicle being equipped with a pretty hefty 109-kWh battery pack, the Endurance has been listed with a very conservative 174 miles of combined EPA range. A look at the Endurance’s page on fueleconomy.gov would show that the vehicle only boasts 48 MPGe.
