ABB to build largest nationwide network of EV fast-charging stations in the Netherlands

ABB has been selected by Fastned to supply chargers to more than 200 electric vehicle fast-charging stations in the Netherlands, bringing an EV fast charger within 50 kilometers (31 miles) of all of the country’s 16.7 To date, the Netherlands is the most populous country to roll out a nationwide fast-charging network.

Wärtsilä swappable battery containers enabling inland waterway vessels to operate with zero emissions

The first order, comprising three units, was placed by ZES (Zero Emission Services) BV, a Netherlands-based company founded in 2020 by ING Bank, energy and technical service provider Engie, the Port of Rotterdam, and Wärtsilä. The order was placed and two containers delivered in June 2021. It is connected for remote monitoring.
