Study finds all-electric rideshare fleet could reduce carbon emissions, but increase traffic issues

Lead author Aniruddh Mohan and colleagues wanted to develop a method that evaluated the life-cycle costs and benefits for two battery-powered ridesource fleets and a gasoline-powered one.

Scania and Asko testing hydrogen fuel cell trucks

Asko, Norway’s largest convenience goods wholesaler, and Scania, part of Volkswagen Truck & Bus GmbH, will start testing trucks with hydrogen fuel cell electric powertrain. The hydrogen gas will be produced locally, using solar cells. The trucks will run in distribution service with distances of almost 500 km (311 miles).
