After the first two LNG car carriers entered service in 2020, Volkswagen Group Logistics has now ordered four more ships with dual-fuel engines that can be powered with LNG. The Volkswagen Group has therefore committed to e-mobility as well as to the sustainable production and use of new electric vehicles.

Mercedes-Benz is supplying 129 Citaro G hybrid 18m articulated buses to Belgium’s TEC Group. A 14 kW, 220 N·m electric motor is positioned between the engine and the automatic transmission. When the bus accelerates again, the electric motor uses the stored energy to assist the diesel or gas engine with extra torque.

The BMW Group sources the individual fuel cells required for manufacturing the BMW iX5 Hydrogen from the Toyota Motor Corporation. We think hydrogen-powered vehicles are ideally placed technologically to fit alongside battery-electric vehicles and complete the electric mobility picture.
