Toronto now has the largest fleet of electric buses in North America on the road with arrival of third new electric bus model

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is now operating the largest fleet of electric buses in North America. In June 2018, the Board approved the purchase of 30 more. The TTC acquired the 60 all-electric buses from three manufacturers: BYD Canada Co. New Flyer Industries Inc. and Proterra Inc.

New York City Department of Sanitation to purchase seven Mack LR Electric refuse trucks

The New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY) plans to purchase seven Mack LR Electric refuse models, which will operate in each of the city’s boroughs. The vehicles will be built at Mack’s Lehigh Valley Operations (LVO) facility in Macungie, Pennsylvania, where all Class 8 models for North America and export are assembled.

New bipartisan bill in US Congress to expand EV and hydrogen fuel cell tax credits
