The BMW Group has reduced resource consumption and CO 2 emissions in vehicle production by 50% since 2006. In addition to using renewable energies, water, solvent, gas and electricity consumption will be further reduced in parallel. In parallel, the company is also increasing production capacity for e-drive housings at Plant Steyr.

US EPA extends E15 fuel waiver to MY 2001-2006 light-duty vehicles

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) waived a limitation on selling gasoline that contains more than 10% ethanol for model year (MY) 2001 through 2006 passenger vehicles, including cars, SUVs, and light pickup trucks. EIA: US nat gas pipeline companies added 2,400 miles of new pipe in 2011

The US Energy Information Administration estimates that US natural gas pipeline companies added about 2,400 miles (3,862 km) of new pipe to the grid as part of more than 25 projects in 2011. New pipeline projects entered service in parts of the US natural gas grid that can be congested: California, Florida, and parts of the Northeast.
