ChargePoint installs 1st of more than 80 EV charging stations in NY with NYSERDA funding

has installed the first of more than 80 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations it will install around New York, through a $1 million incentive from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). The Solaire, developed in 2003 by the Albanese Organization is the nation’s first LEED Gold-certified residential building.

HEI study finds London Congestion Charging Scheme shows little evidence of improving air quality

FedEx receives first 150 electric delivery vehicles from BrightDrop

Powered by GM’s Ultium Platform, the Zevo 600 is designed for last-mile deliveries, with an estimated range of up to 250 miles on a full charge. This is part of a larger agreement between FedEx and BrightDrop that will see FedEx incorporate 2,500 total Zevo 600s across FedEx operations over the next few years.

New Zealand simplifies Road User Charges system, extends exemption for light electric motor vehicles from 2013 to 2020

New Zealand is implementing revenue-neutral changes to its road user charges (RUC) system as of 1 August 2012. In New Zealand, diesel and electric-powered vehicles pay for their road use through road user charges. The proportion of diesel vehicles in the New Zealand fleet has increased from 13% to 16% over the period from 2003 to 2009.

MCCA and Zipcar introduce new Honda Accord Plug-in Hybrids, charging stations, and priority parking in Boston Common Garage

The charging stations were funded through a US Department of Energy grant. Zipcar is also the first to offer hybrid vehicles through a partnership with Honda in Seattle in 2003. Signs from the Charles Street entrance will lead drivers to the area, which is restricted to Zipcar hybrid or plug-in, or privately owned, vehicles.
