Cenntro Electric Group Limited and its subsidiary Cenntro Automotive Europe GmbH introduced two new all-electric commercial vehicles at IAA Transportation 2022 in Hannover, Germany. The two new vehicles, the Logistar 260 (LS260) and the Logistar 100 (LS100), join the LS product line now available globally in Class 1 to Class 4. The LS260 defines a new size in the van segment (Vehicle Class N1).

Chevrolet won't follow sibling General Motors brands Buick and Cadillac in offering buyouts to dealerships that don't want to sell electric vehicles, a GM executive said in a recent interview with The Verge. In fact, the dealerships that take buyouts for their Buick and Cadillac franchises could end up selling Chevys exclusively, GM global vice.

Mercedes-Benz plans to build a wind farm at its test track in Papenburg, northern Germany, with an output of more than 100 MW to cover up to more than 15% of the annual electricity demand of Mercedes-Benz Group AG in Germany. As part of its effort to erect a double-digit number of wind turbines by the middle of the decade, Mercedes-Benz is also planning a long-term power purchase agreement with a partner, equivalent to a triple-digit million euros amount.

Volvo Trucks unveiled a completely new, fully electric rear axle at the IAA Transport show in Hannover, Germany. The new e-axle integrates the electric motors and the transmission into the rear axle, thereby freeing up space for more batteries. More batteries mean longer range, which creates opportunities for long distance transports to also be electrified.
