Kia EV6 achieves product carbon footprint certification from the Carbon Trust

Kia EV6 ( earlier post )has achieved product carbon footprint certification and ‘ Carbon Measured ’ label from the global climate change and sustainability consultancy the Carbon Trust, becoming the first Korean vehicle manufacturer to achieve the certificate. The EV6 is the first model to be launched under this new strategy.

Volt Carbon stakes lithium mining claims in Northern Ontario

Canada-based Volt Carbon Technologies has announced the acquisition by staking of a 100% owned Abamasagi Lake Lithium Project, located northwest of Nakina, Ontario, Canada. The mining claims were registered directly by Volt Carbon. The area outlined in red and was staked by Volt Carbon.

Researchers find carbon-nanotube-based fluids improve enhanced oil recovery methods

Researchers in India are using multi-wall carbon nanotube-optimized surfactant-polymer flooding for enhanced oil recovery. In an open-access paper in the journal Fuel , they report that their experimental application of carbon nanotube-based fluids yielded an oil recovery factor of approximately 70% of the original oil in place.
