I would like to see it stay on the road but it's definitely not up to modern standards for these conversions, and it has some electrical gremlins, too. This beautiful 1987 Mazda was converted to a 144V DC system in 2008 with under-bed lead-acid batteries. I believe it was the demo car for a DIY-EV class.
