Hawaii awards $820K contract to AeroVironment for up to 320 EV charging docks

Hawaii has awarded an $820,000 contract from the Hawaii EV Ready Grants Program to AeroVironment to fund the deployment of up to 320 AeroVironment 240-volt electric vehicle (EV) charging docks throughout the islands. Customers who purchase an EV are also eligible for a state rebate of up to $4,500.

Better Place, Sheraton Waikiki and Hawaiian Electric Partner on EV Charge Network in Hawaii

Better Place has started its initial deployment of EV infrastructure in Hawaii, with the launch of a project to incorporate its electric-vehicle infrastructure in Honolulu, in partnership with Kyo-ya Hotels & Resorts’ Sheraton Waikiki Resort and Hawaiian Electric Company. Kyo-ya will operate two of the electric vehicles.

US and Japan collaborating on smart grid project in Hawaii; EV operation and charging, including grid-balancing services

Neste Oil signs an algae oil off-take agreement with Cellana for renewable fuel
