More than 2 million employees in the sector worked with conventional gasoline and diesel vehicles in 2018, up 1.4% Electric vehicle employees grew 21% and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle employees grew 31% from 2017 to 2018.

The German Bioethanol Industry Association (BDBe) has published the 2019 market data for the production and consumption of certified sustainable bioethanol. Sales of bioethanol were roughly on par with the previous year, with the market share of Super E10 rising by almost one percentage point to 13.7%. less than in the previous year.

Carbon announced a strategic partnership with Lamborghini in digital manufacturing. Lamborghini’s first production parts using Carbon’s technology are a new textured fuel cap with the Urus label and a clip component for an air duct. Both parts are on Lamborghini’s Super SUV, the Urus model, which was first introduced in 2018.
