The corn ethanol plant, which uses technology from Vogelbusch Biocommodities, has a nameplate capacity of 420,000 liters (111,000 gallons US) per day, making it the largest of its kind in Argentina. In Argentina, gasoline must contain 5% ethanol (E5) and the fuel ethanol production is government controlled under a quota system which assigns supply shares to the producers.
