As the economies of scale disappear for ICE, so too will they disappear for hybrids that depend on the existence of ICE. Swapping out CO2 for other toxins like ozone and nitrogen oxides is not a solution. As a BYD investor, I'm upset to see them waste so much money on dead technologies like PHEVs/EREVs.
