Universal Hydrogen successfully completes first flight of hydrogen fuel cell powered regional airliner

Green Car Congress

In this first test flight, one of the airplane’s turbine engines was replaced with Universal Hydrogen’s fuel cell-electric, megawatt-class powertrain. The powertrain does not use a battery—the fuel cells drive the electric motor directly—reducing weight and cost significantly. Deliveries will start in 2025.

GWU team demonstrates highly scalable, low-cost process for making carbon nanotube wools directly from CO2

Green Car Congress

The length to diameter ratio and the 0.342 nm inter-wall spacing of these confined cylindrical graphene layers suggests these new CNT wools should be classified as a (albeit unusual, but particularly useful as a cloth precursor, class of) CNT material. The process is constrained by the (low) cost of electricity.
