Some of the wind farms instead sit in clusters more than 100 kilometers out at sea.

A novel project in Australia aims to harness the sun’s energy in two different ways: by storing it and by using it to produce green hydrogen. The Haru Oni facility is currently operating with biogenic CO 2 and hydrogen produced with the strong winds of the Magallanes region. Together with Porsche and other partners, we now want to build a prototype plant and test the concept as a whole. Water, a potential by-product, is drained off. This stores the CO 2 long-term.
