European project to develop cobalt-free EV batteries awarded €11.8M

COBRA incorporates environmental impact studies to help ensure that the carbon footprint of the end product is reduced, by eliminating cobalt and other toxic or scarce elements, while using metal components with recyclability of more than 95%. The project launched earlier this year and will run until January 2024. 50% pack weight reduction.

SOFC-maker Bloom Energy announces initial strategy for hydrogen market entry; partnership with SK

This expansion of our product offering enables zero-carbon electricity and transportation solutions. Bloom Energy announced in June 2019 that its fuel cells could run on hydrogen to generate zero-carbon electricity. By the end of 2020, Bloom expects to ship a 100 kW pilot server to South Korea to power an SK E&C facility in early 2021.

SK E&S, SK Plug Hyverse partner with Korea South-East Power for green hydrogen & green ammonia production

SK E&S signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with SK Plug Hyverse and KOEN regarding cooperation for carbon neutrality and the production of green hydrogen and green ammonia which will be consumed for co-firing at KOEN’s natural gas and coal based thermal power plants, by using electrolyzers to be produced in Korea by SK Plug Hyverse.
