Electrek

With car bloat so prevalent on US roads these days, you’d be hard pressed to find a compact car in any typical parking lot. But if everyone is arming up with SUVs, then I’ll just have to go even bigger with my own double decker bus. Since a 9,000 lb Hummer has somehow become an acceptable way to get the groceries, then what could be wrong with driving a two-story bus?

Comment on Nio has held exploratory talks with Mercedes for tie-up, report says by Wayne Lewis

CN EV Post

@peters In reply to peters. Your assertion surrounding battery longevity would be bearish for NIO as well, regardless of the ability to swap “easily” or not. It’s just a false talking point for ICE vehicle faithful people, and you don’t even realize it. Battery longevity will not be a problem. They will last hundreds of thousands of miles before needing replacement, just like ICE engines, but will last even longer than that.
