Chile-based Ensorcia Metals , a specialist in the extraction and transformation of high purity lithium, will invest €200 million to build a lithium hydroxide conversion plant in Europe. Ensorcia uses IBAT ’s modular, mobile DLE (Direct Lithium Extraction) technology.

With more than $32 million in pending orders from commercial and government fleets, commercial electric vehicle supplier Lightning Systems is more than tripling the size of its manufacturing, research and development facility in Loveland, Colorado. With the expansion, Lightning has nearly doubled its number of employees from 40 to 70.

Tritium DCFC Limited opened its first US-based EV fast charger manufacturing facility, located in Lebanon, Tennessee. AC/DC conversion uniquely occurs in a centralized rectification unit allowing the site to be over-subscribed. The facility will employ more than 500 Tennesseans over the next five years.

UK-based Swindon Powertrain is offering a range of high energy density (HED) Li-ion battery packs alongside its range of compact electric powertrains to low-volume car and light commercial vehicle manufacturers and developers.
