ExxonMobil and Global Thermostat signed a joint development agreement to advance technology that can capture and concentrate carbon dioxide emissions from industrial sources, including power plants, and the atmosphere. ExxonMobil and Global Thermostat are also exploring opportunities to identify economic uses for captured carbon dioxide.

Kia EV6 ( earlier post )has achieved product carbon footprint certification and ‘ Carbon Measured ’ label from the global climate change and sustainability consultancy the Carbon Trust, becoming the first Korean vehicle manufacturer to achieve the certificate. The EV6 is the first model to be launched under this new strategy.

The California Air Resources Board unanimously approved the 2017 Climate Change Scoping Plan , which sets the state on an aggressive course to reduce greenhouse gas emissions an additional 40% below 1990 levels by 2030 under SB 32.
