Amprius Technologies, a developer of silicon anode Li-ion battery cells, announced a charging rate of six minutes to 80% from 0% state of charge. This achievment validates Amprius’ performance against the US Advanced Battery Consortium 2025 goal of 80% in under 15 minutes and has been verified by Mobile Power Solutions. Additionally, a Fortune 100 company is sampling the technology.
Acura is moving to embrace electric cars at a faster rate than parent Honda, Emile Korkor, the brand's assistant vice president of national sales, said in a recent interview with Automotive News (subscription required). The premium Acura brand is "going much faster" than the main Honda brand in having EVs make up an increasingly larger percentage.

The biggest drop was in April 2020 (a reduction of 40% compared with April 2019) followed by a gradual rebound later in the year. In December 2020, the reduction was 11% compared with December 2019. Overall , vehicle miles traveled in 2020 were down 13% compared with 2019.
Alaska is slated to get its own EV charging network, making EV ownership more viable on the Last Frontier. By summer, the state-run Alaska Energy Authority plans to install DC fast-charging stations along the state's main highway corridor, according to a recent Anchorage Daily News report.
