Neste-led project verified 50% methane emission reduction at palm oil mills using belt filter press

Crude palm oil is one of the more than ten renewable raw materials that Neste uses to produce a range of renewable products, including renewable diesel. Palm oil represents approximately 20% of Neste’s renewable raw material usage annually. Increased pressure is created as the belt passes over rollers which decrease in diameter.

Statoil Canada oil sands SAGD project produces first oil

Statoil Canada has produced first oil from its SAGD (steam-assisted gravity drainage) Leismer Demonstration Project (LDP) in the Canadian oil sands after initiating steam injection in September 2010, one month ahead of schedule. Future phases of the Kai Kos Dehseh steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) project are also under study.
