T&E: Denmark, Luxembourg, Netherlands lead deployments of zero-emission buses in Europe

Denmark leads the way when it comes to putting zero-emission urban buses on the streets in Europe, with 78% of new vehicles being electric, according to the latest data from green NGO Transport & Environment. In Luxembourg and the Netherlands about two-thirds of new buses were zero-emissions.

OCSiAl receives approval for €300M Luxembourg graphene nanotube production plant and R&D center

OCSiAl , the world’s largest manufacturer of graphene nanotubes, has been granted approval by Luxembourg authorities for a production plant, together with an associated R&D center, in Differdange, Luxembourg. OCSiAl’s headquarters and one of the company’s three graphene nanotube development centers are already located in Luxembourg.

Heliox to fast charge Volvo electric buses in Luxembourg

Sales-Lentz, one of the public transport operators in Luxembourg, has ordered three Heliox Fast Charge Systems with OppCharge open interface to provide fast charging services for its four Volvo 7900 electric buses. End of route stations will be delivered Q2 2017, with one of the systems to be located at Sales-Lentz’ depot.

Volvo Cars raises €500M for electrification through second green bond issue

Volvo Cars successfully placed its second green bond to raise €500 million from a diverse set of global investors. The €500-million, 6-year fixed rate senior unsecured green bond was issued under Volvo Cars’ Euro Medium Term Note program. The bond was oversubscribed three-times, despite challenging global market conditions.

Coca-Cola will now make local deliveries in Belgium with 30 electric Renault Trucks vehicles

The first five vehicles will go out today in the Antwerp area. Coca-Cola chose a configuration allowing Renault Truck’s electric vehicles to cover 200 km daily, which is more than enough for 40% of CCEP’s current local delivery routes. These charging stations are powered by 100% green energy generated at the site.
