Wärtsilä and Grieg to build green ammonia-fueled tanker

The technology group Wärtsilä and Grieg Edge, the innovation hub of Norwegian shipping group Grieg Star, are jointly running a project to launch an ammonia-fueled tanker producing no greenhouse gas emissions by 2024. Pilot-E, the Norwegian funding scheme, will support the project with a NOK 46.3-million million (€4.4-million)

New Fraunhofer membrane technology enables co-transport of hydrogen and natural gas

Researchers at the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft have developed a membrane technology for the energy-efficient and economic separation of hydrogen from natural gas. This technology makes it possible for the two substances to be routed through the national natural gas grid together and then isolated from one another at their final destination.

Study confirms €1T green hydrogen potential for Africa

Africa can produce 50 million tons of green hydrogen a year by 2035, according to a new study by the European Investment Bank (EIB), International Solar Alliance and the African Union, with the support of the Government of Mauritania, HyDeal and UCLG Africa. RWE and Westfalen Group forming JV to supply green hydrogen for vehicles; focus on heavy-duty; up to 70 stations

In Germany, RWE and the Westfalen Group will work together to supply green hydrogen for hydrogen-powered vehicles. RWE will supply the green hydrogen from its electrolyser infrastructure in Lingen, and the Westfalen Group will take care of setting up and operating the fuel station infrastructure.
