ICIS: EU Hydrogen Bank could bring renewable hydrogen costs below €1/kg

By Jake Stones, hydrogen editor at ICIS ICIS data shows that renewable hydrogen could be sold for below €1/kg if a producer obtains the maximum support provided by the European Hydrogen Bank , according to the heads of terms for the bank published by the European Commission on 31 March. The bank, which was announced in September 2022, aims to support hydrogen producers using an auction bidding system, which ranks bidders according to price per kilo of hydrogen.

Kia boosts global EV target, plans purpose-built robotaxi

Lyft expands Green mode to order up EV rides exclusively

Lyft is expanding its Green mode, which allows riders to specify an EV or hybrid, to additional cities beginning April 17. "We've seen an explosion of interest in EVs—and once a driver or rider gets into an EV, they're more likely to prefer them moving forward," Paul Augustine, Lyft director of sustainability, said in a company blog post.

ACEEE calls on EPA to consider EV efficiency in upcoming proposal for LDV standards

The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) is calling on the EPA to consider EV efficiency in its upcoming GHG standards for cars. In an analysis posted on the organization’s website, the ACEEE shows that a small increase in EV efficiency in a future with all light-duty vehicles electrified would save 970,000 gigawatt-hours of electricity—equivalent to the electricity consumption of 21 million US homes.
