He should have been made to pay more!! I'm so sick of these people spouting crap about a great car company that makes an excellent product that looks amazing, in an attempt to get the stock price to drop so they can short it and make a few bucks. They do damage to the company's reputation, while risking many employee's job who have families to support.

Data released by Carmax shows that Toyota owners are trading their vehicles for EVs more than owners of any other brand. Perhaps more than other traditional brands, Toyota has garnered a reputation for reliability and “eco-friendliness” ever since it introduced its now incredibly successful Prius hybrid. Since then, the brand has become dedicated to hybrid technology more than any other automaker, but this has come at the detriment of full EVs, which the Japanese auto giant has yet t

@John Hanna In reply to John Hanna. Regretted buying this stock. I have been dollar cost averaging to try to get out but this useless stock has been falling daily. Talk about catching a falling knife. Serves me right i say. I put in my retirement savings in the hope of retiring by 62 but looks like i have to continue working.
I spent 33 years in the automobile business, the equivalent of 96 human years. Having worked for car dealerships, manufacturers, an auction house, and an auto finance company, I’m convinced there is no other industry that attracts& such a diverse cast of characters. Many of them defied stereotypes: I met car sales people who were honest, ethical and hardworking.
NIO has consistently lost increasingly huge sums on every model it has made to date. This is so despite Nio selling what cars it has to date for much more money each than the under-30K Euro vehicles it wants to build in China, pay to transport around the globe, pay tariffs on landing at European ports, How will a low price/vehicle, weighty shipping costs , import tariffs, Since even much pricier vehicles sold by Nio to date have been money-losers for the company , this has resulted without facin
In the last couple of years, Kia and Hyundai (same parent company) have really impressed anybody who’s been watching at all. Sure, they’re not anywhere near where Tesla is in terms of volume of sales, but the vehicle technology shows that they’re quite serious about building a decent electric vehicle.

The consumers are wrong. Even the original, NT1.0 ES7 was the most unappealing choice of the lineup, and these consumers decided to buy the updated one, expecting NIO would not try to make better cars in the future. The ES6 is a beautiful little SUV and clearly is the best value of the SUVs. If you want something bigger, get the ES8. There's no point in the ES7.

@LuxRes In reply to LuxRes. Every automaker employs men and women. Are you saying BYD's work harder and are more deserving than the approx, 4,000,000 men and women employed at the other Chinese automakers? When I see a 'sponsored" news source cherry-picking not just content, but steering the packaging of it to retail investors - you know, men and women all over the world, particularly heavily represented in China by reason of the source - a little sobering context may open some eyes and save tho

NIO run the company like a private club. At least, the NIO car owners perceive their purchase, not just the car itself, but a membership of private club. These people were spoiled by NIO so much that they lost common sense but entitlement. On the other hand, NIO's focus on customer service goes off the track that every new product or new gadget researched and developed by NIO is competing with NIO's existing product among the existing customers.
