Researchers at Argonne National Laboratory, with colleagues from Lawrence Berkeley, Oak Ridge, and National Renewable Energy labs, and the University of Tennessee, have published a comprehensive analysis of the total cost of ownership (TCO) for 12 sizes of vehicles ranging from compact sedans up to Class 8 tractors with sleeper cabs.

FCA US has reached final settlements on civil, environmental and consumer claims with US federal and state agencies as well as private class actions to resolve differences over diesel emissions requirements. The estimated total cost of settlements is $0.8 FCA US has also settled a putative class action on behalf of private consumers.

Lightning Systems, a developer of electric powertrains for commercial fleets, introduced a new all-electric Low Cab Forward model for commercial and government fleets in the Class 6 segment. The powertrain is available on new Class 6 trucks as well as for repowers of vehicles currently in fleets.

Toyota’s Project Portal is designing a heavy-duty hydrogen fuel cell system for class 8 truck use at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.
