DTF: Diesel dominates commercial truck, transit and school bus fleets in US

EIA projects global conventional gasoline and diesel LDV fleet will peak in 2038

In the US Energy Information Administration’s (EIA’s) International Energy Outlook 2021 , released earlier this month, the EIA forecast that the global light-duty vehicle (LDV) fleet will grow from 1.31 billion vehicles in 2020 to 2.21 of the global LDV fleet in 2020 to 31% in 2050, reaching 672 million vehicles.

EEA final data shows average car CO2 emissions in Europe kept increasing in 2019

Most new SUVs registered were gasoline vehicles, with average emissions of 134 g CO 2 /km, which is around 13 g CO 2 /km higher than other new gasoline cars. In 2019, as in 2018, gasoline cars were the most sold passenger vehicles, constituting 59% of all new registrations. Electric vehicles constituted 3.5% g CO 2 /km.

DOE issues Notice of Intent for 2020 advanced vehicle technology research
