Nissan and its affiliate Autech announced the start of sales of the Note Autech Crossover in Japan. The new Note Autech Crossover is based on the compact Nissan Note and comes exclusively with Nissan’s e-POWER electrified powertrain, a key part of the company’s electrification strategy under the Nissan NEXT global business transformation plan. In Tesla’s annual shareholders’ meeting, held Thursday, CEO Elon Musk pointed to the supply chain—and batteries in particular—as related to the delay of the company’s electric pickup, the Cybertruck. Musk confirmed that the start of production for the Cybertruck will happen in 2022, with volume production in 2023.

ExxonMobil increased its estimate of the discovered recoverable resource for the Stabroek Block offshore Guyana ( earlier post ) to approximately 10 billion oil-equivalent barrels. The updated resource estimate includes a new discovery at the Cataback-1 well, which brings the total significant discoveries to more than 20 within the Stabroek Block. The Cataback-1 well encountered 243 feet (74 meters) of net pay in high quality hydrocarbon bearing sandstone reservoirs.
