The Nikkei reports that Japan plans to more than double the output of electric vehicle chargers used at highway service areas. July saw plugin EVs take 26% share in Germany, up from 25.5% year on year. Behind the apparently scant growth, full electrics grew market share by 1.43× to 20.0%, whereas plugin hybrids lost share. The Tesla Model Y continues to lead the electric car surge in Australia, finishing fourth outright on the sales ladder in July. According to the official VFACTS figures, there were 3330 examples of the battery electric SUV sold in Australia last month.
