Study finds changes in air pollution due to EV adoption are not distributed equally

A team of researchers from the University of California, Berkeley; University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill; and University of Miami has analyzed the implications of California’s Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP) for emissions of greenhouse gases and criteria air pollutants, both in aggregate and in their distribution. In an open-access paper published in PLOS Climate , the team reports that CVRP reduced aggregate statewide emissions of CO 2 , NO x , and SO 2.
