UC Davis report proposes mileage fee for EVs, maintaining fuel tax for ICEs to support road repairs

UC Davis researcher finds ride-hailing EVs offer triple the emissions benefits of a personally owned EV

Replacing a gasoline-powered ride-hailing vehicle with an electric vehicle can deliver three times the carbon benefits of a personally owned electric vehicle, according to a study by a University of California, Davis, researcher of Uber and Lyft data. California Energy Commission awards $3.27M to 6 clean transportation projects

The California Energy Commission approved $3,270,066 for six clean transportation projects. The program is slated to invest approximately $90 million during this fiscal year to develop new transportation technologies, as well as alternative and renewable fuels. Flex-fuel vehicles can run on E85 or conventional gasoline.
