Our environmental track record and continual efforts to help our customers build more sustainable communities played a major role in our decision to use renewable diesel in our fleet. We have noticed that the exhaust appears cleaner and seems less toxic. Our experience has been positive. There’s no change in engine performance.

Canada’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Catherine McKenna, and the Chair of the California Air Resources Board, Mary Nichols, today signed a new cooperation agreement to advance cleaner vehicles and fuels. Canada is developing a Clean Fuel Standard that will cut emissions by 30 million tonnes in 2030.

We do have a climate crisis that needs to be addressed. They require more materials and energy to build and propel them, adding to emissions and energy use. Ultimately, to manage climate change, the world needs to stop emitting greenhouse gases from vehicles and power plants. Electrifying vehicles adds yet more weight.
