The city of Montréal is installing 50 more on-street charging points for electric vehicles. In August, the city installed 50 in the downtown area. The city said it plans to have 1,000 stations installed across all boroughs by 2020. The 100 terminals will now cover 7 city districts.

On 18 August 2020, $27 million in funding will be available in California to replace higher polluting trucks with zero-emission vehicles. The second installment of funds for this category is expected to be released within the next few years. Maximum funding will not exceed $200,000 per eligible replacement vehicle.

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) plans to invest up to $500 million from the Inflation Reduction Act to increase the availability of domestic biofuels. At the Chicago Auto Show, Hyundai introduced its new 2020 Sonata Hybrid, featuring up to 686 miles of driving range and an EPA-estimated 52 mpg combined fuel economy rating on the Blue trim. The connected car team at Hyundai continues to improve Blue Link’s services, and the 2020 Sonata Hybrid received many system enhancements.
