Ford is opening an E-Transit registration site today for commercial customers ahead of order banks opening by July. To date, more than 450 commercial customers in North America, including 200 top fleets and fleet management companies, have said they’re interested in purchasing the E-Transit.

New research released by NTEA – The Association for the Work Truck Industry confirms that fleets across the country are increasingly relying on biodiesel for their existing and new diesel vehicles. For the third time in four years, surveyed fleets named biodiesel as their top alternative fuel choice both for current use and future interest.

Larger scale production is intended to start in 2019. FUSO also announced the company’s first US commercial partner for the eCanter: UPS will place three of the new electric trucks into its fleet. The all-electric light-duty truck is cost-efficient and economical for users, as already proved within customer tests in Europe.
