Oil remains the world’s leading fuel, but its 33.1% Coal’s market share of 30.3% seen in 2010, according to the newly released BP Statistical Review of World Energy, 2012. The fossil fuel mix continues to change with oil, the world’s leading fuel at 33.1% World primary energy consumption grew by 2.5% Source: BP.
