Tesla has reportedly been granted permission to sell automotive emission credits domestically in South Korea by the Ministry of Environment starting this year. Automakers in Korea must ensure that their vehicles’ average greenhouse gas emissions are less than the country’s standard. Tesla did not meet this metric.

Peabody Energy Grants $2M to Develop Coal Energy Technology Lab at the University of Wyoming

The University of Wyoming (UW) has received a $2 million grant from coal giant Peabody Energy to create the Peabody Energy Clean Coal Technology Laboratory in the UW Energy Resources Center in Laramie. With 2009 sales of 244 million tons and $6 billion in revenues, Peabody fuels 10% of US power and 2% of worldwide electricity.
