Statoil’s Lavani-2 exploration and appraisal well has resulted in a new natural gas discovery offshore Tanzania. The Lavani-2 well was drilled to a total depth of 5,270 meters (17,290 ft) in water depths of 2,580 meters (8,465 ft).
