thyssenkrupp to supply 20MW electrolysis plant to CF Industries for green hydrogen for green ammonia production

thyssenkrupp has signed a contract with Illinois-based CF Industries to supply a 20 megawatt alkaline water electrolysis plant to produce green hydrogen at their Donaldsonville, Louisiana, manufacturing complex. The work is expected to begin in the second half of 2021 and finish in 2023. thyssenkrupp 20MW electrolyzer.

Schaeffler signs five-year supply deal with REEtec for rare earth oxides

Global automotive and industrial supplier Schaeffler has signed a five-year contract with Norwegian company REEtec AS for the purchase of rare earth oxides. In future, Schaeffler will procure these metals from REEtec AS, which uses a sustainable production process. REEtec is using Vital’s product as its principal feedstock.

FuelCell Energy and Toyota complete first “Tri-gen” production system

FuelCell Energy has contracted with Toyota to supply the products of Tri-gen under a 20-year purchase agreement. Hydrogen production can be ramped up and down based on needs/requirements. This will help decrease the use of constrained local water supplies by approximately half a million gallons per year.

Mercedes-Benz to source CO2-free electricity in Germany from solar, wind and hydropower from 2022 onwards

ARENA providing $950k in funding for renewable hydrogen production project in Queensland
