Boeing HorizonX invests in lithium-metal rechargeable battery startup Cuberg

In September 2017, CalSEED awarded Cuberg $150,000 in Phase I grant funding. In December 2017, NSF SBIR awarded Cuberg $225,000 in Phase I grant funding.

Daimler Trucks North America delivers its first battery-electric commercial truck to Penske Truck Leasing

Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) has delivered the first vehicle in its Freightliner Electric Innovation Fleet—a Freightliner eM2 ( earlier post )—to Penske Truck Leasing, fulfilling its promise to put an electric commercial truck in customer hands in 2018. The range of the eM2 is around 370 km (230 miles).
