Study finds methane emissions from coal mines ~50% higher than previously thought

NYK to introduce WinGD variable compression ratio systems on two LNG-fueled coal carriers

NYK will install a variable compression ratio system (VCR system) on two large LNG-fueled coal carriers to be built at Oshima Shipbuilding Co., VCR can also be adjusted for part load operation, meaning that relatively larger savings can be achieved at the low speeds. Study Concludes Peak Coal Will Occur Close to 2011
