EC approves second major battery innovation project; €2.9B (US$3.5B) from 12 member states

The project, called “European Battery Innovation” (EuBatIn) was jointly prepared and notified by Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Slovakia, Spain and Sweden. In 2018, the Commission adopted the Strategic Action Plan for Batteries and has promoted a wide range of initiatives as part of the plan.

EEA: small increase in EU’s total greenhouse gas emissions in 2017, with transport emissions up for the fourth consecutive year

These official data confirm the preliminary estimates published by the EEA in October 2018. The EEA will publish preliminary estimates of 2018 emissions in the autumn. Poland and Spain accounted for the largest increases in greenhouse gas emissions in absolute terms in 2017. in 2017 compared with 2016.

Norway, as part of the European Economic Area, also participates to the IPCEI Hy2Use with two individual projects.

SEAT expands the fleet of duo trailers and giga trailers to promote more sustainable logistics

PSA and GM to build next-generation small light commercial vehicle

PSA Peugeot Citroën (PSA) and General Motors (GM) announced that as part of their existing alliance agreement ( earlier post ), the next generation small light commercial vehicles (B-LCV) from both companies will be built in the PSA plant in Vigo, Spain.
