Boeing HorizonX invests in lithium-metal rechargeable battery startup Cuberg

Cuberg developed an advanced lithium metal rechargeable battery cell that is designed to be a drop-in solution to existing large-scale battery manufacturing processes. In September 2017, CalSEED awarded Cuberg $150,000 in Phase I grant funding. In December 2017, NSF SBIR awarded Cuberg $225,000 in Phase I grant funding.

Siemens employees in Germany to get free EV charging in 2017

Beginning in 2017, Siemens employees at as many as 100 of the company's locations in Germany will be able to recharge their electric vehicles free of charge. The electricity and the use of the charging stations will be free in 2017. This will apply not only to all-electric vehicles but also to plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.

Brazil’s Ambev Brewery will use 1,600 electric trucks from Volkswagen; electric version of the Delivery

The model will be 100% recharged with electric power from clean sources such as wind and solar. The regenerative brake acts before the pneumatic brake, to decelerate the vehicle, recovering up to 30% of energy during braking and using it to recharge the batteries.
