Rio Tinto and bp to work together on one-year trial of B30 marine biofuel

The trial is using a bp-manufactured B30 biofuel blend composed of 30% fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) blended with very low sulfur fuel oil (VLSFO). This B30 biofuel blend can reduce lifecycle carbon dioxide emissions by up to 26% compared to standard marine fuel oil. All biofuel refueling during the trial will be at Rotterdam.

Los Angeles Harbor Commission Launches 2009 Alternative Fuel Truck Incentive Program with $44.2M

This initiative follows a 2008 incentive program that put into service more than 2,200 trucks that currently meet or exceed 2007 US EPA emission standards.
