UPS to purchase 10 eVTOL aircraft from BETA, with option for up to 150

Through its UPS Flight Forward subsidiary, UPS plans to purchase electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft from Beta Technologies ( BETA ) as part of its innovation-driven strategy to identify new ways to help small businesses with sustainable solutions. The charging station also offers the aircraft’s batteries a second life.

Malbork, Poland purchases six electric buses made by Solaris

The electric buses will be fitted with Solaris High Energy batteries with a total capacity of 240 kWh. Throughout the day they will be recharged using fast pantograph chargers that are to be set up at the bus termini in Piaski and at the municipal cemetery in Malbork. Another 500 battery buses are being manufactured.

Craiova, Romania orders 16 Solaris articulated electric buses

The purchase marks the first use of electric buses in the city; therefore under the contract Solaris will also deliver charging devices, both for overnight and fast pantograph charging. Each vehicle will be fitted with Solaris High Energy batteries. The articulated vehicles will make it to Craiova in the first half of 2021.
