PowerCell in EU project to develop and operate a refuse truck with fuel cells

REVIVE will place 15 fuel cell refuse vehicles to be tested in 8 different cities or regions in Europe: Breda, Helmond, Amsterdam, and Groningen (the Netherlands), Antwerp (Belgium), Bolzano and Merano (in South Tyrol, Italy) and Gothenburg (Sweden). EC approves second major battery innovation project; €2.9B (US$3.5B) from 12 member states

The project, called “European Battery Innovation” (EuBatIn) was jointly prepared and notified by Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Slovakia, Spain and Sweden. In 2018, the Commission adopted the Strategic Action Plan for Batteries and has promoted a wide range of initiatives as part of the plan.

Antwerp Terminal Services (ATS) and CMB.TECH launch hydrogen dual fuel straddle carrier

Brussels plant kicks off production for the new Audi Q8 e-tron

From 2025, production at all Audi plants will be carbon neutral as part of the company-wide environmental program Mission:Zero. Named “Factory of the Future” in 2020 by the employers’ association Agoria, Brussels achieved this distinction as early as 2018. AUDI AG has owned the Belgium site since 2007.

INEOS to invest more than €2B in electrolysis projects in Europe for green hydrogen production

Its first plants will be built in Norway, Germany, and Belgium with investment also planned in the UK and France. INEOS is developing other projects in Belgium, France and the UK and the business expects to announce further partnerships with leading organizations involved in the development of new hydrogen applications.

EC approves up to €5.2B of public support for second IPCEI in the hydrogen value chain

The project, called “IPCEI Hy2Use” was jointly prepared and notified by thirteen Member States: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain and Sweden. Norway, as part of the European Economic Area, also participates to the IPCEI Hy2Use with two individual projects.

MAN Lion’s City 18 E articulated electric bus to begin practical testing in Barcelona and Cologne later this year
