Petrobras confirms presence of light hydrocarbons in ultra-deep waters of the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin

Petrobras has confirmed the presence of light hydrocarbons in block SEAL-M-426, in ultra-deep waters of Sergipe-Alagoas Basin. The discovery took place during drilling of well 1-BRSA-1083-SES (1-SES-167) known as Farfan, at a water depth of 2,720 meters (8,924 feet, or 1.7 Earlier post.) miles) northwest of the Farfan well.

Rosneft touts major light oil find from “northernmost well in the world” in the Arctic

Rosneft announced a major oil discovery at the East-Prinovozemelskiy-1 license area in the Kara Sea, following the successful completion of the drilling of the northernmost well in the world—the Universitetskaya-1 well.
