Tesla late Thursday introduced yet another price cut for its Model 3 and Model Y, as represented on its consumer website, bringing the price of these new EVs down to their lowest ever. The move, cutting up to $2,250 off these models, depending on the version, directly follows news earlier this week that, globally, third-quarter Tesla deliveries.

Tesla’s lithium refinery in Robstown will start production on the first day of 2024. The company’s Sr. Manager of Operations shared details about Tesla’s lithium refinery. “We will begin commissioning the assets roughly the first of next year, and that will continue, in earnest, over the first half of next year. They will start ramping up production the latter half of next year,” said Tesla Sr.

Tesla has raised prices on some of its vehicles in Europe just hours after price cuts took effect in the United States. Last night, Tesla dropped prices on the Model 3 and Model Y in the U.S. by as much as $2,250. All but one configuration of the two all-electric vehicles had its prices dropped, with the lone car being the recently-released Model Y Rear-Wheel-Drive that Tesla brought back to its Design Studio earlier this week.

The 2000 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 SS SLP is one of those cars I used to geek out on when I picked up a buff book back during my college days. So naturally, I picked this one for today's UCOTD. This car has T-tops, the factory Hurst shifter, a factory Monsoon stereo, and factory leather. It also has a lot of mods. Still, according to the seller, it's a great daily driver and has only been to the track once.

Just when it looked like the Takata airbag inflator recall was finally wrapping up, U.S. safety regulators have indicated that 52 million inflators made by ARC have likewise been placed under consideration for recall. The circumstances are unpleasantly familiar. Like the Takata units that ran the risk of spraying cabin occupants with deadly shrapnel during a crash, the ARC inflators may also pose a serious risk to those they’re supposed to save.

Kia EV9 reservation will start this month in North America. The South Korean automaker recently announced that North American customers may start reserving the three-row EV9 SUV on October 16, 2023, at 10 a.m. PST. The EV9 will be the first vehicle Kia assembles in North America, making it eligible for the Inflation Reduction Act’s tax incentives. According to the Asian car manufacturer, the 2024 Kia EV9 will start at $54,900.
